Message From Executive Director

Hello, and welcome! As we continually look toward the future with anticipation, I am humbled and very grateful for what God has done in the life of this ministry and in my own life.

I was first introduced to Discipleship Counseling and Training in 2003. That was a time in my life when I experienced God in a fresh way, my true self for the first time, and a new way to live life. As I went through the counseling and training process, I experienced healing from several parts of my past that kept showing up in my present, and I received revelations that gave me a sense of freedom I had been craving.

To say that my life has been filled with ups and downs, successes and failures since that turning point would be an understatement. During one season of my life, blinded by the darkness that I created with my own sin, I began to doubt everything I thought to be true. I knew that I needed to embrace the doubt I was experiencing because it was the only way to discover what was real. The essential principles and philosophies we use at New Name Ministries are the ones that made it through the darkness and survived the fire of doubt.

We created New Name with you in mind, and it is an honor for us to serve our local communities by offering discipleship counseling, professional coaching, spiritual direction, and training education to individuals, couples, and organizations.

Peace,
Jason

Our History

New Name Ministries opened its doors in 2008 and began providing services to a handful of clients in the local community. We spent the first year counseling a limited number of people and tweaking our approach, process, and methods. During this time we began to envision a discipleship counseling ministry which would serve the people of North Georgia and the surrounding areas.

We’ve remained open-handed, allowing the ministry to grow organically in response to the needs of the people we serve. Over time we’ve hired additional staff and begun to offer our Essentials Training Program to leaders in our community who wanted to learn how to take the New Name philosophy and process into their ministries. We have enjoyed a slow, and steady increase in momentum and are looking forward to experiencing all that God holds for this ministry.
